GIP Position On Political Parties Manifestos

The Ghana Institute of Planning’s position paper on the manifestos of political parties for the 2024 presidential elections in Ghana

Political parties in Ghana often face challenges in implementing ‘promises’ outlined in their manifestos and, at times, overlook key development issues once they assume power. Factors such as budget constraints, changing economic conditions and unforeseen challenges, among others, usually contribute to implementation gaps. This technical document is a position paper prepared by the Ghana Institute of Planners (GIP) to serve as a comprehensive guide for political parties in Ghana to address key development and spatial planning issues in the country.
