The President of the Ghana Institute of Planning (GIP), Pln. Percy Anaab Bukari (FGIP), inaugurated the Events and Programmes Committee of the Institute on Sunday, January 14, 2024. The purpose of the committee was to spearhead Events and Programmes of the Institute.
Membership of Events and Programmes Committee are;
i. Pln. Ama Akyire Akyinba Ferkah
ii. Pln. Jones Agyemang
iii. Pln. Bilali Yakubu
iv. Pln. Audrey Sandra Arkoh
v. Pln. Ruth Agyeiwaa Badu
vi. Pln. Yaa Asuamah Gyedu-Pensang
vii. Pln. Redeemer Ganoo
viii. Pln. Stephen Ampem-Darko
The function of the Committee are;
1. Assist NEC to plan and organize events, programmes, conferences, meetings and other occasions of the Institute
2. Assist NEC to prepare and coordinate annual schedule of events and programmes of the Institute
3. Support NEC to identify and celebrate important international days of relevance to planning
4. Collaborate with other committees of the Institute to plan and organize programmes and events of the Institute
5. Perform any other task that may be assigned by the Institute.
Pln. Jones Agyemang was to chair the committee while Pln. Ama Ferkah assumed the role of the Secretary of the Committee.
The first task of the committee was to develop strategies in organizing events and programmes for the Institute.
